This year has definitely been- shall we say interesting. With COVID coming and locking everyone down to all the social unrest and the deaths of some pretty prominent people I’m sure we’re all ready to throw 2020 away. But ya’ll it’s not over yet! Quarter four has just started and guys, we have a little less than 90 days to do something major. And 90 days is more than enough time to make something good happen! It makes me think of this verse in Psalms.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD grants favor and honor; he does not withhold the good from those who live with integrity.
Psalm 84:11
No good thing does He withhold. So, if it isn’t good yet then it can’t be done folks. I don’t know what 2020 has presented you with thus far but what I do know is that since we are here reading this blog it can’t be over. You have something good coming your way. Don’t give up, friend!
So, with that said, what’s the one thing you want to accomplish that you just can’t seem to get done? What if I told you this is the quarter you are going to accomplish it!? Would you believe me?
I already know- probably not haha!
What if I told you that every goal just needs to break past 3 roadblocks and you will see success in it? I believe that when we overcome 3 major roadblocks in goal setting (and really life in general) we will see the success we desire! Those 3 things are:
- Limiting Beliefs: what we believe about ourselves and our abilities
- Ambiguity: unclear about the next step or even what we want to accomplish
- Memory Loss: not placing markers in our lives that help us remember what we said we wanted to do
These roadblocks can stop us dead in our tracks when it comes to finishing what we started and making our goals and dreams reality! Let me tell you now – this isn’t going to be just a one time thing, that once you identify them you’ll be good to go. I know this personally- haha! But as we walk through these things this month I’ll be walking through tools you can use to help you overcome each of these roadblocks and create goals that truly win. Next week we’re going to talk about limiting beliefs in depth!
Do any of these roadblocks ring true for you when it comes to goal setting?
